Community Farm for Refugees
Community Farm for Refugee Families
In partnership with Catholic Charities’ Common Earth Gardens, the Earth & Spirit Center's New Hope International Community Farm hosts refugee families, primarily from the East African nations of Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo, to do community organic gardening on our property, for personal subsistence and for market. The New Hope Farm also serves as a living outdoor classroom for school children in our Camp Nature Odyssey program, introducing children in grades 1-6 to the process of growing, cooking, and eating healthy food. If you would like to learn more about the community farm, or donate time or tools or supplies, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
