Mindfulness for Educators Summer Workshop
Bringing Mindfulness to Classrooms and Schools
This 6 hour summer workshop is designed to help educators understand and experience the physical, psychological and professional benefits of mindfulness meditation. Participants also learn how to bring the research-proven benefits of mindfulness skills to young people in educational and clinical settings.
Personal Practice/Professional Application
The workshop offers step-by-step guidance for the development of a personal mindfulness practice. Learning how to translate one’s personal mindfulness practices to a professional application in education is an integral part of the process. Collegial sharing, exposure to rich resources, guided reflection, and current research will support this application.
• 6 hours of JCPS PD or EILA credit are available.
